Emily Green Lake, founder of Sisters Pizza in San Diego, California, turned a lifelong love of pizza into a meaningful mission after the unexpected loss of her sister, Kate. Inspired by the premise that life is short, Emily left her teaching career to follow her dream and open Sisters Pizza. The shop is a tribute to her sister and the NYC/NJ slices they bonded over growing up.
