Google Business Profile

The Google Business Profile page helps you claim, connect, and manage your shop’s Google presence through Slice.

Owning and managing your Google profile helps your shop:

  • Boost orders: Increase visibility and generate more orders from Google.

  • Connect with customers: Engage directly with people searching for your shop.

  • Access insights: View Google Food Ordering sales and order data once your profile is connected.

Once your profile is claimed and connected, Slice will automatically keep your key business information accurate and up-to-date on Google.

Getting Started

1.Log in to the Owner’s App (web) and go to Online Presence > Google Business Profile.

Click Log in with Google and log in using your Google account.

  • If you’ve already claimed your business, it will appear automatically.

  • If you need to claim your business, search using your shop’s address.

2. If no matches appear, click Claim Your Business to create a new location.

3. If the search results do not show your shop, select None of these look correct, I want to set up a new location.

4. If the search results still don’t show your shop, select None of these look correct, I want to set up a new location.

Once your business appears, select your shop, confirm your name and address, then click Confirm Business.

Click Manage on Google to open your profile. From here, continue to Add Slice as a Manager to connect your profile to Slice for syncing and ongoing updates.

If someone else owns the profile:

You’ll see a message that the profile is already owned. Click Claim your business to request access.

  • Fill out the required fields and submit your request.

  • If approved, you’ll become the owner.

  • If denied, follow Google’s prompts to appeal or verify by phone. Verification may take a few business days.

If your shop has no existing profile:

If your business does not appear on Google Search or Maps, contact Slice Support. We’ll guide you through creating a new profile directly with Google.

Add Slice as a Manager

Once your profile is verified, add Slice as a Manager. This allows Slice to help maintain your listing and keep your information in sync with your Slice account.

  1. In Google, open Business Profile settings.

  2. Select People and access.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Enter the Slice Organization ID provided by your Slice representative.

  5. Select the Manager role and click Invite.

You remain the Owner of your Google Business Profile. Slice only requires Manager access to help manage updates and protect your listing.

Enable syncing via the Google API

After you’ve claimed your profile and added Slice as a Manager, you can enable the Google API sync in the Owner’s App (web).

Only shops that have completed the Claim Flow are eligible for this feature.

This connection allows Slice to automatically sync your shop’s key business details to Google, including:

  • Shop name

  • Address

  • Website

  • Regular and special hours

  • Preferred ordering partner (Slice)

Slice will automatically sync your information daily, ensuring your Google listing always shows the correct details. If changes need to appear right away, Slice can also trigger an update manually.

Sync settings

In the Owner’s App (web), you’ll see three toggles that control what Slice syncs with Google:

  • Show my Slice site on my Google profile – on by default

  • Mark Slice as my preferred ordering channel – on by default

  • Sync my hours with Google – off by default (you can turn this on anytime)

If you turn any of these off, Slice will not turn them back on without your confirmation.

Troubleshooting

Ownership conflicts

If Google indicates that your profile is already owned, request access through Google. If denied, follow the appeal and verification steps provided in your account.

Missing Food Ordering options

If you do not see Food Ordering or Preferred Provider options in your Google profile, this feature may not yet be available in your region. Slice can review and assist if a solution is available.

Brand-new shops

If your shop does not yet appear on Google Search or Maps, contact Slice Support to create a new Google Business Profile and start the connection process.
