Register - Delivery Management

The Delivery Management page helps shops track and organize deliveries through the Slice Driver App, from unassigned orders to completed deliveries.

Unassigned Orders

These are paid delivery orders (or pay-on-delivery) waiting to be assigned to a batch. Each order shows the order number, delivery address, and estimated arrival time (ETA), so you can quickly decide how to group them for delivery.

Batches

A batch is a group of delivery orders assigned to one driver to take out on a single run. Each batch goes through three statuses:

  • Waiting: The batch has been created and assigned but hasn’t been accepted by the driver yet.

  • With Driver: The driver has accepted the batch through the Driver App. Orders in this batch are now on their way.

  • Complete: All orders in the batch have been delivered and confirmed by the driver in the app.

Creating a delivery batch:

To create a batch, tap Create Batch in the top right corner of the Delivery Management page. Select the orders you want to include from the Unassigned Orders list, then scroll to the bottom to assign a driver. Only drivers who have their Driver App set to Available can be assigned.

Use the three lines on the right side of each order to drag and drop them into the best delivery route for your driver. Once you’re happy with the setup, tap Create Batch.

The batch will show as Waiting until the driver accepts it in the app. If you need to make changes while it’s still in the Waiting status, tap Edit to adjust the driver, the order of stops, or the orders included.

If a driver forgets to accept the batch before starting delivery, you can still take action from the Waiting screen. Tap Edit on the batch, then tap More Actions in the top right corner. From there, you can either:

  • Discard Batch: This sends the orders back to Unassigned so you can reassign them.

  • Mark as Delivered: This moves the batch to Complete, even though the driver didn’t confirm each delivery in the app.

Use these options to keep things moving if the delivery wasn’t handled through the usual app workflow.

Once the driver accepts the batch, it moves to With Driver and can no longer be edited. That driver must complete the delivery and mark each order as delivered in the app.

A batch is moved to Complete when all assigned deliveries are marked as delivered in the Slice Driver App. If needed, shops can manually move a batch to Complete by tapping Edit on a batch in Waiting, then selecting More Actions > Mark as Delivered. This skips the With Driver step.
